Just to make sure there's no ambiguity: the deadline to file your predictions for this weekend will be the presumptive start of qualifying at 10AM local time in Suzuka. Even if qualifying does not occur, any predictions filed after this time will be rejected!

JAPANESE GRAND PRIX RESULTS

In what is becoming something of an unwelcome tradition, these results are late and sparse! :uhoh:

Remmirath and cm97 share the individual win, each having correctly predicted Valtteri Bottas to win (and nothing else correct).

Since no team saw both members score, their respective teams win. Congratulations to Drive Sauber and Mission Copy James!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

First Place - 5 points
Remmirath, cm97

Second Place - 4 points
JN23, Lotus49

Third Place - 3 points
robins13, RustyRockets44

The Rest
Everyone Else - 0 points

Did Not Start
Nobody!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Individual Standings - Round Seventeen

Image

Exediron's lead has shrunk by five points, but things remain mostly the same at the top.

Team Standings - Round Seventeen

Image

Drive Sauber extend their lead to 14 points, the largest lead of the season.

NEXT RACE

It's Mexico. Red Bull have dominated the last few years, so could we see a return for Max to the top step? And how many will be bold enough to spring for the maiden podium for Alexander Albon?

And will I finally do another full writeup? :o

Not sure whether to stick (with this) or twist (Vettel/Verstappen/Leclerc). The way my year has gone whichever I don't go for will be the correct outcome.

chocolate fudge cake it, changing to:

1. Vettel
2. Leclerc
3. Verstappen

A combination of the Ferrari's straight line advantage + being able to split strategies will ensure they get Charles ahead of Max and into P2.

On the assumption that my teammate is well and truly cursed, I've decided to play it safe by just reversing his top two and leaving Max where he is.
