They're not making it easy for us this race are they!!

First Merc aren't getting their upgrade, so do I change my picks because of that? (Decided to go with it anyway)
Then Ricciardo won't, or shouldn't get a penalty now for Montreal - so I've bumped him up a bit......

Now watch it all go horribly wrong

Round 7: Montreal, Canada

The start saw pole man Vettel lead away from fellow front row starter Bottas who had to hold off Verstappen for second, then we had Hamilton from Ricciardo who had managed to get past Raikkonen, then we had a first lap collision between Stroll and Hartley which brought out the SC.

At the restart Vettel was able to pull a gap on Bottas, whilst Verstappen seemed to not have the same pace after starting on the softest hyper soft tyre, Hamilton was also struggling with an overheating engine and both Verstappen and Hamilton took an early pit stop at which Mercedes were able to make an adjustment to sort his heating problems. Ricciardo also on the hyper soft tyre stopped a lap later and managed to pass Hamilton who had a poor out lap.

With overtaking seeming not possible on track then the point of interest was Raikkonen also trying to pass Hamilton with the overcut but he just failed, thus the race finished with Vettel winning from Bottas then Verstappen, a mention to Leclerc finishing once again in the points.

No well I guess I was thinking more top 10 when I said it rather than a bit better than average, apart from Vettel winning I didn't nail the top 6 and then Perez finished out of the points, I knew I would benefit from leaving Alonso out who most people had but no way did I consider I had the winning picks. :)

If you only had Perez as a non-scoring entry then we had the exact same picks, yet I was not even in the top10 so well done!

Yeah that's probably because I aced Vettel, Hulkenberg and Ocon, I'm guessing I probably scored the most from 7-10, there's very few that would have picked Leclerc and most picked Alonso.

I had Leclerc in my original predictions, and I went through the whole race under the misimpression that I still had him in. I was quite happy to see him finish in 10th.

Your original picks would have scored you 147 points as opposed to 112 points, all this swapping and changing has done you no good this year.

So close to another podium..... making good progress against the other rookies, but I think Herb will need to have another weekend or 3 like this one to make him catchable.... I can live with being 5th lol

Nope, it's been completely the opposite. I think I'd be challenging for the title if I'd just stuck with my first guess every time.

But at least now I know, and next year I can come back without the temptation of trying it.

I would say that Herb's lead has virtually gone now the title is wide open this year.

It occured to me that some sort of proper trophy for winning would be nice. How about a winner's avatar, which only the winner could use as their personal account picture?
