I would like to see other forum members pets! Please tell me all about them!

I tried to get a picture of mine but he ate the sofa, would not keep still and then the camera died.

I have a hamster called Pilot and a big hole in my sofa.

Lovely animals minchy!

I used to have bunnies they make great foot warmers in the winter.

I would love a dog ( my little brother has a golden retriever) but unfortunately money and space does not allow.

What, all of it?! His pouches must be huge! :)

Didn't you used to have one that was a James Hunt fan?

Until not too long ago, we used to have a Springer Spaniel - not sure where the pics are, but he was a dead ringer for this fella:

Now just left with a cat (called Rosie, apparently, I just call it "the cat")

Incidentally, you have one of the best ever user names.

Argentum such a handsome sounding dog!

Yes I did have a hamster called Poppy who loved James Hunt. She died at 2 and a half years old. She would go mental everytime I watched the classic GP's on the BBC red button if she heard his voice. Unfortunatly she died in my arms several months ago. I have one of her trying to read/eat a James Hunt biography somwhere.

this was her in her primeImage poser!

I often call my hamster "moose" my boyfriend is Scottish and allways says to me "what are you doing with that moose"

These are our 2. We lost the collie, Piper, just a month ago to cancer. She was only 7.
The whole house is still in mourning.
Her little friend,Gizmo, can't figure where she is gone & is still trying to find her.

Piper was very clever, my daughter & her used to have conversations & though hard to believe, I swear they understood each other.

"NO NO sofa goes in bed! More bedding woohoo!"

I had to get the bed out as he threw the whole thing across the cage and then cried.

This is Bennet. He's allegedly a Syrian Hamster but is more the size of a Guinea Pig. His favorite hobby is flinging himself off of high places without any regard for his own personal safety or well being.

My girlfriend's family have a collie named Monty who is incredibly clever but also absolutely insane. He loves tea and will actively set up diversions, like yelping at a ball that is apparently stuck under the sofa so that you go and get it for him, then will have his snout in your mug and his paw on your toast faster than you can realize you've just been outsmarted by a dog...again.

Can't say I have any time for pets.
I love animals, just I don't want them in my place licking their gonads, then jumping on me and licking my face.

@minchy, in your post. The last animal, what the hell is that :?:

Edit: looks like a phallus with ginger wig, arms and eyes...mad

it's an albino axolotl, Mexican lake salamander which have evolved not to turn into amphibious salamanders and remain fully aquatic. Easiest thing to look after ever! You can even get ones that glow under UV light if you get the right genetic strain.

That's a gorgeous looking cat. My in-laws had a black and white Norwegian Forest cat until a couple of years, he was so friendly and fluffy!

Thought this a gooder time as any to post in here.

This is Poppy -

This is Benji -
Image

And this is Bella -
Image

Bella came to us when she was 7 months old having been neglected by previous owners. She was very scared and for a puppy had no clue about what a toy was for and she would just sit in the same corner hour after hour. The only history we were told was that she was the runt of 6 puppies, her dad was a Shih Tzu and mum a Yorkie x. Apart from the over shot lower jaw we also noticed within the first day or so that she would be oblivious that she was weeing every so often when she walked so we took her to the vets for her vaccinations etc and thats when we realised that Bella was not your average dog - she was a hermaphrodite! We were then sent to a specialist vets where Bella spent 11 days being assessed, operated on and treated. It turned out that she was predominantly female with a half grown penis and non developed testicle, her female reproductive organs were removed as they hadnt developed properly as were the boy bits. She only had 1 functioning kidney. Her back leg joints didnt bend properly. Her urinary tract had split through being stretched as her female bits were where the penis would be on a normal male dog (hence the walking/weeing) so the vets had to do a major reshuffle to get it all working properly. They decided to do some scans after observing her behaviour and found she had brain damage. The vets said she will require a lot of care and with all the problems she will need regular check ups. As the months went by Bella got stronger and we got to know her and she got to know us. Her character shined through even though very ditzy at times and she learnt what toys were for!!

The vets had warned us that because of the various conditions, Bella may only have a short life, maybe 24 months.

I got up yesterday morning to find that Bella had passed away.

She would have been 5 years old in April.

Fatboy, that's a real nice and sad story for Bella, got a little teary reading it (I always get emotional when animals or JB DNF's are involved). Sounds like you gave her a good life and she was able to enjoy it after a difficult start :)

Good for you for sticking with her through all that, many people would've given up with all problems she went through.

Fatboy, the poor little tyke, at least you gave her 5 years of love & care she would otherwise not have gotton. Heart breaking when they leave just when she was having a caring family.
I have a post earlier in the thread about a beautiful girl (border collie) we lost just a month ago to cancer & the house is still in mourning as she was only 7.
We also have a little Shih Tzu, Gizmo, who can't figure out where his best friend is & is still looking for her. There are pics of both of them in the post.
Poppy & Benji are beautiful & will help you get through your loss.

@ minchy and ob1kenobi.23 - thank you both for your kind words, reading them the tears started again and there have been plenty over the last few days!
ob1kenobi, border collies are amazing dogs and 7 is such a young age to lose her and Gizmo is a lovely little chappie it's amazing how attached we get to our 4 legged friends.
To some they are just a pet, to us they are family.
