Sounds like it but you'd worry whether stander or scannell will last......ankle injuries are a bitch.

Killer
Scannell
Ryan
Ryan
Doc 2.0
PoM
Tod

Williams
Tyler

Earls
Scannell

Wouldn't be surprised if Murray is actually named.

Nope, not for Munster anyway, I'd fancy our chances more against Clermont than Leinster.

well that's certainly an interesting topic. Clermont have the upperhand psychologically perhaps over Munster regards to the last recent pool confrontations, but Munster have returned to contending form since. Munster know Leinster much better than they do Clermont, so there's an element of unknown vs the Auvergne team...but maybe Munster's simplicity and smothering defense would be just what's needed to win a cup final against Clermont, where Leinster might be able to respond in kind. But I'm really not certain a full strength Clermont side would be happier news for Munster, in theory. By mid-May, if Clermont are still alive in the cup they could be pretty healthy again.

I would think however the Saracens-Munster victor will be the Cup winner. We'll know more about that in a couple days ! :proud:

While i would love to meet and beat Leinster in a final, I don't think we would beat them. Outside of second row there's no real weakness in their team and their back row is insanely good. I expect them to beat Clermont and then Saracens in the final.

No idea, have heard about a player that would be a big blow, will probably be named in the team, but that's all I'm saying.

yep yep. The back row...Clermont are very mitigated about who to pick as their players there are totally different profiles from one another; so it's indecision for the Frenchies vs 100% classic selection for Leinster. So you're expecting Leinster to beat Clermont and then beat the final's opponent, whoever he is. Why so much confidence in your neighboring province.

*just a sec, gon smoke me a well deserved cig, down here in southeast france atm the evenings are beautiful, windy, fresh, but not quite wintery. I always feel like the young Werther (Goethe) smoking my cigs in the wilderness, a romantic seduced by the solitary reveries of self against nature, the humanless eh...eh wanna smoke it now damnit, will continue maybe...

Don't know, but I think Conways defence and experience would be worth more.

I am not liking the fact neither scrum half played last weekend. Big ask for Gus and / or Griesel if they have to play in such a high profile game. Griesel has only been playing AIL and Gus was thrown out of both Leinster and Ulster academies already

You're so full of shit. Gus was never in either academy.

Well he played for the Blackrock senior cup team, isn't that the same thing

Some rather weak rumours going around the last day or two that he's fit to play. I'm clinging to them though.

Listening to the Rugby Pod last night with Big Jim Hamiliton (current sarries player) they seem very confident Murray is playing also said that Munster have not scored this season ( I am guessing cup) off a driving Lineout - surely that is not correct?

Jim is full of monumental bollocks. His predictions for 6N results and Lions selections are hilarious.

We also scored off a driving maul against Racing away.

I quite like the Rugby Pod actually, great fun and an enjoyable listen though Jim doesn't strike me as a man who takes too many lessons away from video sessions!

While we have scored a few tries off it the rolling maul has not been nearly as prominent this year. Our best aspect this year has been the defence which has been superb.

Very good team but bar burger there isn't a lot of impact off the bench.

Brits will bring some energy, but it's definitely a bench to see a game out rather than come from behind.

Munster: Simon Zebo; Andrew Conway, Jaco Taute, Rory Scannell, Keith Earls; Tyler Bleyendaal, Duncan Williams; Dave Kilcoyne, Niall Scannell, John Ryan; Donnacha Ryan, Billy Holland; Peter O’Mahony (Capt.), Tommy O’Donnell, CJ Stander.
Replacements: Rhys Marshall, James Cronin, Stephen Archer, Dave O’Callaghan, Jean Deysel, Ian Keatley, Francis Saili, Darren Sweetnam.

No scrum half on bench and Williams just back from injury, assume Keatley would be asked to do the job

Williams wasn't injured.

Look sarries are obviously favourites but I think we'll be fairly close. All depends on which team takes their chances.

Deysel doc cronin and Marshall bring a good impact while saili could be a handy guy against trying defences. I'm expecting it to be absolutely brutal.

Back 3 is fairly even
Centres, Sarries marginally better
Half backs, Sarries by a good punt.
Front row, even enough
Second row, Sarries by 2 lions.
Backrow, Munster by 1 lion

Subs.
Munster look like they could chase a game, Sarries would hold a lead.

So all in all, who knows?

Disappointed JOD doesn't make the bench over Deysel.

Williams has been going well but obviously a massive gulf from Murray.
