Posted this in the Irish Rugby thread but it 's relevant here:

Leo must be expecting Clermont to have a right go at Sexton and Carbery if he has both Byrne and Kirchner on the bench.
Very experienced Leinster side though. At least Conan is playing and we certainly have a powerful backrow playing despite missing Murphy, Heaslip and O'Brien!
Bit short of raw pace on the wings but buckets of experience in Isa and McFadden who have both done well recently.
Christ, it's going to be an all-out war in Lyon.

That's a 6/2 split, isn't it?

Chaume is listed at 106KG, a little over 16 1/2 stone. That's quite light for modern Loose Head props.

Ooh, shit that's right, no SOB either..yikes. I think I'm really going for Clermont then.

The only decisions taken there was Derek on the bench instead of Leavy, and Cronin/Strauss & McF/Kirchener.
We will have some bench impact, but hopefully it will not be required.

mmm, ehh.. okay let's see here.

Clermont have good length and Chouly, Kayser's experience for the lineouts, and the scrum should hold up alright, Dato's prob not in tip top condition and it's an int'l pairing of props in front but setpiece should be alright.
They've got a mobile, technically and offensively strong back row, a young and highly active lock duo.
They've got their halfback pairing, and Lopez has been on form globally all season long, I think this is officially his revelation season.
They don't have as much fire-power in that backline with the injuries but they do have tons of experience and some dynamic runners.
Solid bench.

I'm going to go Clermont by 8.

So Vaahaa and Kayser passed fitness tests.

Gougerie presumably starts for experience. Actually glad to see Spedding in as being marginally more reliable in defence.

The replacements for O'Brien, Heaslip and Kearney are all better players. Healy hasn't been first choice in a long time, but he will be missed off the bench.

Here's my rationale. I think Sarries will win against Munster. The odds of 2 away wins are desperately slim and so Clermont. Even if by 1.

Have you looked at hotels? I just looked there, closest you can get for reasonable money is 20 miles away. I have a place I can use in Glasgow for free, looks best bet if we fluke a win tomorrow.

Nacewa signed a one year contract to the end of the 2017/18 season with Leinster a few weeks ago. There is talk of him taking a coaching role after that, but that could be just talk.

I booked into St Christophers Hostel. I know this is hardly suitable for yourself.

Experience: no. Outside of that they're probably better. Carbery is a better player than Kearney and Conan is probably ahead of Heaslip at this stage. SOB is a loss though - Ruddock isn't as good, but if we're comparing 7s then Leavy isn't far off.

I reckon they'll give Ruddock 50-60 minutes then launch VdF - a backrow of Leavy, VdF, Conan would be very exciting.

Leinster's backrow depth is now being tested.

Doesn't change the fact that there is many foreigners and transfers.
It's just pro rugby, but i hate that and have no interest in it.

Well why do you hang out here and post about pro rugby ? Genuine question.

Not "central" Lyon, rather vieux Lyon, surely one of the irish pub opened in the afternoon will show that.

Here are the pubs (zoom in to see all the "irish/english"-named pubs around : https://www.google.fr/search?q=ninkasi+gerland&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&client=firefox-b&gfe_rd=cr&ei=rEz7WL_KLbPH8Aed1qmADw#q=pub+vieux+lyon&rflfq=1&rlha=0&rllag=45763996,4828428,110&tbm=lcl&tbs=lrf:!2m1!1e2!2m1!1e3!3sEAE,lf:1,lf_ui:9

My guess would be the Saint-James quite surely.
edit : the Johnny's Kitchen and the Antidote seem also opened in the afternoon, so all of them probably.
Good thing is , they are all in the same street (or almost the same street : rue Saint-Jean and rue Saint-Georges), you just need to go up and down the street.

There are also other pubs next to these streets, on the sides of La Sâone : Kelly's Pub, Wallace Bar & Restaurant, Elephant & Castle Lyon (unsure for games for these last 2 tho).
