Cheers Carfer, it looks a bit of a mixed team in terms of strength.

Front row swapped and Jacques Nel replaces Rohan Janse van Rensburg

Rotation policy too? How close is this Lions side to first choice?

Second choice front row. Regular bench although Robbie Coetzee and Akker van der Merwe seem to swap the hooker bench role

Excellent chart Carfer, you have a lot of time in your hands. :D

Anyhow, I fully support throwing out Jaguares from the SR.

I was in the office, waiting for it to rain end and then I can leave for home. The post reflects that specific "existential state" of boredom. :D

Keep the Western Force, throw the Jaguares !!! x(

I would not have blamed Perez for starting a weak team as the ensuing Round 10 match v Sharks a week later could be season defining. Lose that game and it's all over, win it and it's home games from then on.

The Jaguares has a nice run of home games before the last two games in Oz

Also, most likely Jaguars may be available:

Tetaz Chaparro
Montoya
Lavanini
Ortega Desio
Landajo
Hernández
Moroni
Montero

However, it might be too late -to qualify the playoffs- if they don't get good performances the next two games :((

Keep the Cheetahs, throw the Jaguares !!! x(

I look forward to the end of this disastrous tour of RSA and the "shawarez" come home to lick their wounds with some decorum. :uhoh:

You lot started very well. You just need to increase your depth and keep plugging away. You have a tour to Australia to measure yourselves

These people, the tandem Hourcade-Perez, received one of the best scrum of the planet (test-match level) and have already made it the WORST of Super Rugby.
Also they are last in effectiveness of the line out, yellow cards and some item more that now it gives me laziness to remember. :(

If they renew the contract -in next December- I suggest setting fire to the UAR building with the board of directors still inside it !!!

Carfer, what exactly has gone wrong at Los Jaguares? They seem to be woefully underperforming, and it isn't for a lack of talent in Argentina. Obviously they are worst affected by the long travel, and have a smaller pool of players to choose from, but it seems to be more than that.

You should only must hire a head coach like Dave Rennie - and his assistant staff - and you will have a good idea of what this group of Argentine players can achieve

Waste from Jaguares backs, some great handling by their tight forwards let down by their backs.

Lions dominated the first half, might've expected more than a 14-7 lead but Jaguares stuck in there.

That touch-judge on the near side is a real speedster :)

Good finish Baez. Better defence and attack by the Jaguares since half-time.

Lions 14-14 Jaguares

Game on.
