Lets see if the Jags drag the Lions into a street brawl, or if the Lions can continue where they left off against the Stomps.

We'll have to see. Rohan Janse van Rensburg went off after 5 minutes with a leg injury while Jaco Kriel has been cited for his mistimed chargedown and making contact with Robert du Preez's head.

Otherwise I think all's clear

Kriel paid for that. Can't understand why still cited

Possibly add Andries Coetzee although he passed the concussion tests. Lions may decide to rest him

I like this match.
It is a top of the table conflict between the best of South Africa and the young upstarts from my 2nd Favorite continent.

the stats and odds will say that the Lions will win.

However i am feeling a motion in my water that will send the the Jaguares to the winners circle,

Jaguares by 3. here. first. ( thanks to Clogs for the catch phrase)

Once again can you please post these in real odds (i.e. dollars).

TBF even I can see that the Lions should win. I hope they don't though.

Ai Ruan. Boet, that is what happens when Ysterbeth gets a hold of you. These youngsters never learn. First Lood, now Ruan. Who is next?

Etsebeth was a petulant twat this past weekend. Him and PSDT did not make the Bok barometer.
I wouldn't get so excited about him if I were you.

While they’re not panicking, Lions coach Johan Ackermann on Tuesday admitted the side is starting to feel the pinch in terms of depth.

The expected absence of Rohan Janse van Rensburg, who injured his knee at the weekend against the Stormers, means only three senior centres are left.

“We’re not in trouble but we are a bit concerned,” said Ackermann.

Surely there is an out of work Kiwi journeyman that they could contract?

Jaco Kriel not guilty. Free to play against the Jaguares

Quote:
In his finding, the Oosthuizen ruled the following: "Having conducted a detailed review of all the available evidence, including all camera angles and additional evidence, including from the player and submissions from his legal representative, Frikkie Erasmus, the Judicial Committee concluded that the red card threshold had not been met to satisfy the citing and that the on-field yellow card was sufficient.

"The Judicial Committee found that the player came into contact with the opposing flyhalf in the course of the player attempting to charge down, that his action did not amount to an intentional late charge or obstruction and accordingly had not committed a transgression of Law 10.4(o).

"The player is therefore free to resume playing."

Sharks were lucky to beat the Jags, tough one for the Lions. Still think the Lions, playing at home will win rather easily but it's a different challenge for sure.

Yeah but the Lions scraped home against us at Ellis Park, aided by a homer Ref/TMO team. So the 3 sides are probably all very close and it could be a close game.

They seem to be fading which is the new boy on the block mentality that they need to change

Yes. One could just see how faded they were against the Stormers. The Lions will be luck to make the play-offs

Not really. Asper deceived us like a Paraguayan maid !!! :?

Keep the Kings, throw the Jaguares !!! x(

1. Noguera Paz = 2nd option (Tetaz Chaparro, injured, didn't travel to RSA)
2. Creevy = 1st choice
3. Herrera = 1st choice
4. Petti = 1st option (when Lavanini returns, Petti will dispute this position with Alemano and Kremer)
5. Kremer = 2nd option (Lavanini, injured, didn't travel to RSA)
6. Lezana = 2nd option with the number 6 jersey (Matera is the first option but, like Lezana, he plays too many minutes and are taking turns in ownership)
7. Báez = 3rd option (Lezana is the first choice and Ortega Desio the second)
8. Macome = 3rd option (Senatore is the first choice and Ortega Desio the second)
9. Ezcurra Felipe = 3rd option (Landajo is the first choice but he is injured and Bertranou is the second - he played too many minutes and will be on the bench)
10. Sanchez = 1st or 2nd option (Hernandez is being the 1st choice in home games)
11. Ezcurra Bautista = 2nd or 3rd option (Boffelli, 1st choice, is gradually returning from a serious injury and will be on the bench to cover the positions of 11, 13, 14 and 15. Montero is injured and stayed in Buenos Aires)
12. De La Fuente = 1st choice
13. Orlando = 1st or 2nd option (Moroni got two consecutive yellow cards and he's injured in one hand, he didn't travel to RSA)
14. Cordero = 1st option (Moyano is disputing the position and could be the first option for the head coach at this moment)
15. Moyano = 3rd option in the full back position (Tuculet - first choice - was injured in Tuesday's practice -in one eye- and also played almost every minute so far.) Boffelli - second option - will be on the bench Substitutes)
