Started this in the last forum but it was very f1 centric. Thought I'd open it up cause it's nice to share.
So here's some link to a couple of mine...
Senna
Vettel
Got a Simoncelli on the way.
Do share! :D

Well, they're not mine, but a friend of mine is an artist. Does a variety of different things, his own projects, commissions, after school art projects, he's done a couple of local charity projects with the community creating public art, and most impressively (to me anyway) done volunteer work at the local Hospital helping people with terminal illness 'feel better' through creating art.

http://www.facebook.com/pages/Jamie-Vaughan-Artist/211265435568913

Here's his facebook page, if anyone likes anything, lots of it is for sale and as he's moving to Spain on Friday with no job to go to, he needs the money!!!!!

Big hand held scanner! Most professional printing shops should have them and won't charge much for a one time scan into digital format.

Haha, thank you? They both took about 8-10 hours. But that's me working and watching tv or something, totally worth it!

Thank you! :D I always just take pictures with a camera or on my phone but do need a better way of scanning them in really so can't help there! (Although I see you have already had a response that I'm going to look into myself :D)

It's a big no to that. I'm not humping these down to the printers.
I have them as photo files, so just need to know how to load photos, jpegs etc.

Oooh, I think they got rid of the upload image thing so you might have to upload it to somewhere like photobucket and then you should be able to insert it from there using the 'Img' button. :) Hope that helps! Excited to see :)

OK then, dead quick way. Depending what phone / camera you're using, you should be able to upload direct to facebook or the likes. Job done image online, just copy and paste the URL. Saves using a site you may not already be using.

Don't think so, when you open an attachment form email, it downloads direct to your memory. You'll just have to use one of those free sites as suggested before.

ToughGuy you have to download that picture then upload it some picture hosting site like http://imgur.com/ or http://imageshack.us/ otherwise we can't see it.

@ ToughGuy

That Vortex painting is awesome!

I like the style of the London night scenes, but the buses ruin it for me, couldn't put those on my wall. But hey, that's art, it's all personal and subjective :D

I think so! Artwork's anything if you ask me. Drawing, paintings, statues, poetry, everything! So pop them up :D

@Toughguy I really like the Vortex! And the one with the buses is awesome :D Got some talented painters near you evidently!!

@Rachie_D: thanks mate :)

The work is virtual pencil so it has virtual eraser which size and opacity is up to you as you set it. Thats what I used for the light spots.

The piece is faaar from what I wanted to do as you need to get used to the Wacom pen on the tablet's surface which is nowhere near the feel of a real pencil on paper. Still the tablet is much fun when you tame it :D

I guess it's like most thing of practice practice practice! Haha. Do you do it much? I'll have to get round to trying one one day... Have you got any more recent stuff?

Sadly the tablet gathers dust ATM as the laptop I was using with it is dead. Also all artwork was on that HD, but this one piece I had on photobucket :( maybe this thread becomes a motivation to install the tablet on a new computer when I buy one :)

Ooo you'll have to get on it! Think the last thing that truly motivated me was watching Senna, can always use it as an excuse to watch that too ;)

Thanks for the words.
Yeah the Vortex is absolutely awesome. Maybe my favourite, but I acquired a new original in the last 3 weeks and illvpost it a bit later.

Ref, Londonnights 1/2, when they were in the viewing area in the gallery, the rep was playing with the light levels and i couldn't believe how different the paintings can look. Love the reflection of the buses in the road, and that Angry sky...

5 more to follows :]

Rachael London nights was by Hungarian artist and vortex byvartisyvfrom Lake district I think.

The trees in that are absolutely stunning. They look so realistic in their own way. You've got some good stuff there!

Our 11year old had the task of drawing half a face as his 1st art assignment. I gave him this picture.

Image

Art teacher didn't believe him and he had to do another one. I gave him this one.

Image

Again disbelief so, he got this one....

Image

He then got a detention and had to draw one of her choice under supervision and we have heard nothing since. Bi@tch is obviously not an F1 fan :x

Maybe if he had just said his mother did art at Uni rather than his dad can only draw straight lines, being an engineer, he'd have had less hassle

[edit] Crap those are bigger than expected, sorry!

Honestly. Granted over 10hrs spent on Charlie, couple of hours a night, probably 6-8 on the others each, all under his mums guidance.

She taught him different techniques as he went along, proportion, shading, eyes, hair, mouth... a part at a time. Plenty of redoing on his part but she never touched the page.

Time-scale is the issue for his teacher as is any technique that's not hers, as is getting guidance!!!!

I'll post his 1st attempt at watercolour when his folder comes home next time.

They are doing a wire frame sculptures atm so at least I get the chance to show him how to make springs, spirals and pliers use etc

Believe me, I'm over the moon about the results because he isn't big on my skill set, coming from the Newey drawing board era :)
