How about Lewis and Toto go to Ferrari in 2021? That's what Eddie Jordon thinks, with Vettel retiring or going to Mercedes.

FWIW, I would say he (and Toto) stays at Mercedes for 2021 at the least.

Vettel signs a one year extension at Ferrari with Verstappen signing a two year extension at Red Bull. I think Ricciardo will be at Renault in 2021 to see if Renault can nail the new regulations, if they don't then he'll be looking to move for 2022 which could be to Ferrari or Mercedes.

This is what I think right now, could obviously change down the line.

What’s Ferrari’s reasoning against Wolff being head of the FIA? I assumed they had no issue with Jean Todt being head of the FIA

I think it's along the lines of taking on the role immediately from a team principal's role. To be fair, they said they'd take the same position if, hypothetically, it were Binotto under consideration.

First sentence, fair enough and that’s a fair comment I think. Second sentence, even though they’ve said that I struggle to believe it.

Rather curiously, the Italian sports paper Gazzetta had run a story about Marko saying he thinks Hamilton is better than Verstappen. The reason for this being curious is that I haven't seen it reported in the English press (I mean any of the notable publications) - and they would normally be the ones more likely to play up Hamilton praise.

https://www.gazzetta.it/Formula-1/29-12 ... 6396.shtml

Of course, even through the Google translate version of the article it's clear they are spinning Marko's words - Marko said that he thinks Max is faster, but Hamilton is more complete due to his experience.

Why would Gazzetta be spinning a Lewis Hamilton story though? Well it's only circumstantial - but if Ferrari were to assign Hamilton then Ferrari would want the narrative established that Hamilton was the best package in formula one and a better option to Max Verstappen...

He's going to Ferrari, i've driven between his Monaco pad and Ferrari HQ, it's pretty close really. He's getting on a bit and wants to stop travelling to Northampton all the time.

I'm sure travelling from Monaco to Northampton by private jet is a real bind.

Did I not hear that he sold his jet as part of him becoming carbon neutral?

Yes. There’s plenty of articles about it on the internet.

Yeah the jets gone. Yet more fuel to put on the rumours to Ferrari fire.

Of course, the jet being sold could have more to do with the Paradise Papers than being carbon zero!

He also sold some of his cars as part of his carbon neutral policy, it was amusing how some of the reporters were unaware he'd sold his jet after grilling him about it. :)

That was my first thought when I read he had sold it, I don't think people were too happy when they found out he avoided paying taxes for the jet. The carbon neutral part could just be a face-saver.

The fact that Max and Charles now both have long term contracts with their respective teams, suggests to me that Lewis will not be going much of anywhere in 2021. RBR and Ferrari have bet on their young drivers as the future of their teams and it doesn't seem likely that they will want to invite an aging veteran into the mix, even if it is a seven time WDC.

Yeah Hamilton is in the Merc forever now unless Leclerc stuffs Vettel in 2020 and then retires.
