Looking at the Constructors Championship standings after today's race, Sauber are currently in 9th place on 27 points, Toro Rosso are in 8th place on 30 points and Racing Point Force India are in 7th place on 35 points. Does anyone think that Sauber should try and get Kimi Raikkonen into the Sauber to replace Ericsson this season to see if they could overtake both Toro Rosso and Racing Point Force India in the standings? I bring this up as I think it highly unlikely that Ferrari can overtake Mercedes to win the Constructors Championship and I think that Sauber would have a better chance of getting 7th place with Raikkonen in the car than Ericsson and the higher up the standings a team finishes, the more prize money they get.
I think Ferrari will see their race for the WCC as a tad more important and be pretty reluctant to release Raikkonen.
