A good finish to Vandoorne's Japanese excursion, after failing to secure pole position by only 5 thousandths of a second he managed to win the second race of the day and final race of the Japanese Super Formula Series after unfortunately being punted off in the first race which ultimately may have cost him the title?
However he did finish by far the best Honda driver and finished 4th in the series:-
1. Yuji Kunimoto (Toyota) 33 2. Andre Lotterer (Toyota) 30 3. Yuhi Sekiguchi (Toyota) 28.5 4. Stoffel Vandoorne (Honda) 27 5. Hiroaki Ishiura (Toyota) 27 6. Kazuki Nakajima (Toyota) 22 7. Naoki Yamamoto (Honda) 15.5 8. Joao Paulo Oliviera (Toyota) 15.5 9. Tomoki Nojira (Honda) 14.5 10. James Rossiter (Toyota) 12
I look forward now to the start of Vandoorne's F1 career next season, a class act.
