Can't believe I'm saying this but I quite fancied a dry race to see where the true pace lies,

but wet races are always special, I can wait another week to find out the pecking order.

Either way, can't wait, bring on Sunday.

This! Never mind though, I'm sure we'll get plenty of dry races as the season goes on :s

The pace always changes over the first few races. A wet race these days is like a dry race in the late 90s in any case. You still get an idea of the pace of the respective cars and their drivers.

Looking at it, it's pretty much the perfect season opener- dry quali, so you can see the cars' respective pace, but you still get an exciting season opener :D

Except some cars could be much better in qualy than in the race, so I would want it to be dry for the first few races to see where everyone is and then hope for rain in Barcelona and Monaco. :D

I only started watching F1 in 2010- I can't wait to see the undoubted chaos of a wet Monaco GP

I'm in Melbourne now (come over for the race - commitment!) and it's been glorious weather for the past few days although there is plenty of talk that the weekend won't be so nice. Personally I'm hoping for 25 degrees all day with a 30 minute shower at about 5:30!

Whatever it will be, I'm excited to see the real performances. I really hope it's close between the teams.

I think it will be a dry race
http://www.bom.gov.au/vic/forecasts/melbourne.shtml

If it is to rain it will be in the morning.

However the qualifying will have rain.

Scram.
